Assassin's Creed Introduces Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a surprising partnership that defies conventional predictions, the game developer has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the official announcement, "An unusual encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of prohibited rituals and fearsome transformations echo through the darkness." The narrative presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine group.
The mission centers on "strange experiments and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Additional Content
Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an unique katana together with multiple objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-themed costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe

Latest Free Story Addition
This release also adds the game's newest complimentary story content, titled "The Enigma." This playful mission pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they trade distinctive skills: Naoe introduces a performative version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-lethal stealth takedowns.
